This policy explains what personal data Raising Little Eaters collects about you, why, and what rights you have. It is written to comply with the UK General Data Protection Regulation (UK GDPR) and the Data Protection Act 2018.

As a sole trader, we are the sole controller of your personal data, meaning we decide how and why it is processed.
2. What we collect
We only collect the data we need. Specifically:
Information you give us
- Email address — when you sign up to our newsletter or buy a product.
- Name — at checkout, so we can address receipts and emails to you.
- Billing information — billing address and payment details, handled by our checkout provider (we never see or store card numbers).
- Messages you send us — including any support emails or replies to our newsletters.
Information collected automatically
- Site usage — pages viewed, referrer, approximate location (country/region), device type, browser.
- Advertising event data — when you arrive from, click, or complete a purchase via a Meta (Facebook/Instagram) ad, the Meta Pixel sends those events to Meta so we can measure ad performance.
We do not collect special-category personal data (health, religion, political views, etc.).

4. Third parties we share data with
We use a small set of trusted providers to run the business. We do not sell your data to anyone. These are our processors:

5. Cookies and tracking
Our site uses cookies and similar technologies. The main categories:
- Strictly necessary — make the site work (e.g., remembering your consent choices). Always on.
- Analytics — aggregated traffic data so we can improve the site. Set only with your consent.
- Marketing — the Meta Pixel, which helps us measure ads and show relevant content on Facebook and Instagram. Set only with your consent.
You can withdraw or change your cookie consent at any time by clearing your site data or contacting us. You can also opt out of Meta's use of your data for advertising in your Facebook ad preferences.
6. How long we keep data
- Purchase and accounting records: 6 years from the end of the relevant tax year, as required by UK HMRC.
- Newsletter subscribers: until you unsubscribe, then removed within 30 days (except suppression data kept to honour your unsubscribe).
- Server logs and analytics: up to 26 months.
- Support emails: up to 3 years after last contact.
7. International transfers
Some of our processors (Meta, Kit, ThriveCart, Netlify) are based in the United States. Where data is transferred outside the UK, we rely on appropriate safeguards recognised by the UK Information Commissioner's Office, including the UK Extension to the EU-US Data Privacy Framework and Standard Contractual Clauses.
8. Your rights
Under UK GDPR, you have the right to:
- Access the personal data we hold about you.
- Have inaccurate data corrected.
- Have your data erased ("right to be forgotten"), subject to legal retention requirements.
- Restrict or object to processing.
- Receive a portable copy of your data.
- Withdraw consent at any time, where processing is based on consent.

If you're unhappy with how we've handled your data, you have the right to complain to the UK Information Commissioner's Office (ICO).
9. Children
Our products are designed for parents and carers. We do not knowingly collect personal data from anyone under 16. If you believe a child has submitted data to us, please email us and we'll delete it.
10. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy to reflect changes in the law or how we operate. The "Last updated" date at the top will change, and material updates will be notified via email to active subscribers.
